Our Experience

Driveways of Distinction were one of the first companies installing driveways in the region back in 1979. Now with over 30 years experience, we are one of the regions leading driveway, path and garden companies.

Waste Transfer Carrier License

We hold a Waste Transfer Carriers License which is essential for carrying any excavations of waste from site. It is illegal to move any waste, no matter how small without a waste transfer license.

Clean Working

We are one of the cleanest companies undertaking this type of work. All excavations/rubble etc goes straight onto our wagon and away to the tip. All hardcore, aggregates and/or resins and sand is delivered on our own wagons.

No excavated material, hardcore or sand is tipped outside your property eliminating hazards to the general public, where footpaths and roads can be obstructed.

No Skips

No skips are used, therefore no skips left for days/weeks outside your property.

We care about the environment. Approximately 80% of all waste from the works undertaken by our company is recycled.

The area we cover

We install driveways, courtyards, gardens, paths, patios and offer cleaning services across Yorkshire.

The map illustrates by colour the areas we offer all services and a wider area for resin only. This is the reason we request your postcode in our contact form.

If you are in any doubt please don't hesitate to contact us.

We Recycle

Approximately 80% of all waste from the works undertaken by our company is recycled.

  • Rubble is crushed and used for back filling
  • Soil and grass is shredded for re-use
  • Branches and shrubs are shredded for mulch
  • Tress are cut up for logs

Even though most waste is recycled, we only use new Ministry of Transport type roadstone (as used by all Highway Agencies) as hardcore for the sub-base of your new driveway or patio. Newly quarried grit sand is used for the screed.

Cutting Emissions

Our larger vehicles remove the spoil from your job to the tips and bring hardcore and sand back in the same journey. This cuts down on journeys made and therefore reduces carbon emissions.

Ethically Sourced

All our Indian stone products are sourced ethically.
